Does Bush know what dhimmi, takiyya, jizya, jahiliya and kaffir mean?
I suspect we can save trillions and beat this enemy with strong, free words and common sense security (no Islamic immigration or investment into the West, for instance). We need only free ourselves from our horrendous self-imposed PC gag-order. Naive? Not half as much as a President who doesn't know he's a dhimmi.

Seven years since 9/11, has anyone ever explained these vital words to him? Frankly, I doubt it. Most people still do not know these words, including those that are fighting the war against jihad. Ignorance trickles down.
I've stated before that we should not be rebuilding Islamic countries. It is aiding and abetting an enemy as far as I can tell, a most grievous offense punishable by death according to the Constitution. I say this as someone now home four years after serving in Iraq (WWII was only 3.5 years, btw). Rebuilding an "ISLAMIC Republic of..." is also a clear violation of the principal of separation of church (or mosque) and state.

That said, I'd still like to win this war (defeating jihad), obviously. My view is jihadists, and Muslims in general, need to be subjected to relentless hyper-criticism of every aspect of their "religion" by mainstream and governmental sources, not just blog warriors. Knowledge is power here. Instead of military members and civilian officials being told and telling us that Islam is just like other religions, they should be issued a vocabulary list with the aforementioned words and others, so they understand how the enemy thinks: its perverse jihadist mentality, mendacity, hatred, and bigotry against all who are non-Muslim; its life-suffocating internal culture that holds people hostage to its rulers, the imams.
When we can define the enemy as radically different, and worse, than ourselves, then we can begin to win this war. Al Qaeda is not a superpower, but they are intoxicated by jihad, and prepared to die. What they are not prepared to do is defend their beliefs in a free forum. They would soon lose the "moderates" they so desperately need.

Great post.
A few years back, I tried to explain some Islamic concepts to GWB in a letter to the White House. I have no idea if he actually saw the letter. But I did get a letter in return from the White House, though not from GWB.
That letter is HERE. See if you agree with my interpretation of the letter.
As far as I can tell, GWB is one of those persons who believe that all religions speak to the good in mankind. He probably learned that erroneous concept at Yale.
